Eligible international applicants will be admitted only after the following documents (including official English translations) are in the applicant’s file and the $30 USD application fee has been paid. Online payment by check or credit card can be access at jupay.ju.edu.

  1. International Student Application for Undergraduate Admission. Please complete and submit to:

  2. Certified true copies of transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended, stamped by the educational institution or Ministry of Education. (Submitted documents will not be returned.)

  3. Certified true copies of diplomas, leaving certificates, examination certificates, and degrees earned, stamped by the examination institution or Ministry of Education. (Submitted documents will not be returned.)

  4. If first language is not English: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score. Students must arrange for official test scores to be mailed directly by the testing agency.

    • SAT or ACT scores are strongly recommended.

  1. If first language is English: SAT Reasoning Test or ACT score. Students must arrange for official test scores to be mailed directly by the testing agency.

  1. One letter of recommendation from a school official (optional).

  2. If applicant intends to participate in NCAA athletics:
    • Educational History Form - http://www.ju.edu/files/InternationalApplication_REV2010_edu-history(1).pdf
    • Official SAT or ACT scores (regardless of first language) must be sent by the testing agency to the NCAA Eligibility Center.
  1. If applicant is an international student at an institution in the United States:
    • Transfer Verification Form - http://www.ju.edu/files/InternationalApplication_REV2010_transfer-verif(1).pdf
NOTE: Students who have completed at least 24 semester hours at an accredited U.S. college or university are not required to submit secondary school documents, SAT/ACT or TOEFL/IELTS scores.
  1. Transfer applicants must submit any foreign university transcripts to a NACES-recognized credential evaluator. Jacksonville University prefers World Education Services and an application for a course by course evaluation may be completed at www.wes.org.
The I-20 form (a requirement for F-1 visa approval) will be issued only after the following ORIGINAL documents are in the applicant’s file and the applicant has been admitted to Jacksonville University:

    • Confidential Financial Statement, signed by bank official - http://www.ju.edu/files/InternationalApplication_REV2010_financial-statement(1).pdf
    • Original bank statement or letter if part 3 of the Confidential Financial Statement cannot be completed by a bank official
    • If a government-sponsored student, official sponsorship certification
    • If a JU scholarship student, grant-in-aid or scholarship award letter
    • If a scholarship athlete, NCAA Eligibility Center certification and amateur certification
Application Deadlines
In order to ensure sufficient time to complete the F-1 visa approval process, students should arrange for all required documentation to arrive in the Office of Admission by the deadlines as follows:
    • July 15 for the August semester( Fall)
    • November 15 for the January semester (Spring)
    • March 15 for the May semester (Summer)
